My first race is March 19, 7 days from today.
Today was supposed to be my last "long run" before the race, but the snow outside kept me indoors and the treadmill started squealing at 3 miles, so a short run it was. Oh well!
I conserve energy and keep my legs fresh this week by running short runs only, including a speed drill Monday and some nice slow recovery runs Wednesday and Thursday.
In other news, sitting in a silent house sipping a cup of coffee, watching it snow, your body simultaneously beaten and refreshed by a run and a hot shower ... does it get any better?
